Ok here is my opinion, there is nothing wrong with hunting as long as it is done legaly and with the proper permits. Here in the US the last report I read put deer populations at the beginning of the century at around 500,000 animals. Right now we have the highest populations in our history around 20,000,000 deer. Yes I am a avid hunter who loves and enjoys the outdoors, I have hunted all over the USA, Canada and Mexico the money we hunters spend goes into our national parks and restoration services that allow animals like wolves and bison to be re introduced back into areas they used to thrive. Every gun, bow,bullet, license and permit we buy is taxed and those funds go back into our wildlife services. What can you non hunters say your doing ? Do you donate money to these causes? I have not hunted in a few years for one simple reason I do not have alot of time to get away from my current business operations but I will never put down my bow,guns or rod. Hunting is a part of American life and will always be for alot of people, I personaly do not have any hunters in my family but was introduced to it by friends. Without hunting populations of some animals would simple get out of control here in NY there are way to many deer and even with hunting our state has to hire professional hunters to kill a certain number of deer so that populations do not get out of control which causes needless starvation of animals.
