That’s good to hear. I know an American angler who is a big carp angler and he has the same attitude as your self he fishes a lake full of 30lb Carp that are never fished for you have some seriously monster carp in America and Canada and its only now people are starting to understand what use silly Europeans have been doing for years.

I will now shut up and take the barrage of abuse.

I love carp fishing too. What other species of fish are in that plenty and that size range only miles from ones house? I use a UL rod with 4lb test.

i caught two 4-5 LBS carp from lake mead in nevada on 10 lbs test and some bread.. no rod >.< it was pretty cool

I need to get into carp fishing. I foul hooked one when I was bass fishing and man he gave me a hell of a fight. He was so big that when we got him to the surface he didn't fit in the net. He then made another run and came loose. He was probably 12-15lbs, I thought I had the state record on the line at first. Anyway, what should I use for them for bait. Nobody ever fishes for them in this one sandwash and I want to give it a go. Should I just use canned corn? Do you need a baitfeeder style rod?
