Yeah that's what I told the guy lol but wanted to check with you. How big do those guys get? Because if they stay 3 feet or smaller that's pretty cool.

Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

Mine was close to 2' mark when it was killed only had it for like 1.5 years. Have pics from the people that produce them of some they have close to 3'. Since both the adults get to over 3' I'd say it's a safe bet that it would get between 3'-4' eventually. They don't seem to do well in aquariums according to others that have kept them. Mine was very hardy and had growth rate similar to a slower growing rtc or that of a fast growing tsn. Over 1' in less than 6 months from the 2.5" I bought him at. Slowed down a bit after that. An extreme appetite also. He would eat and his belly bulge would be gone by the next morning. Lends me to think they have a very high metabolism.

Newer documents I have found suggest that over 50 different hybrids between 7 species of north american catfish were produced while researching the possibility of creating a marketable hybrid catfish for food production in North America. Makes me wonder with as few species as we have here in NA how many hybrids have been produced in SA with their number of species. Crazy possibilities in catfish hybrids.

Supposed TSN x Niger hybrid. Also wanted to say that anyone can share pictures of any hybrid catfish they wish to. All of the pictures I am uploading today are not mine. Just wanted to clarify that. I am putting them up here for discussion purposes only. I have these pics from various websites, and people that have sent me pics over the years as well. :)
