We asked around about it and everyone said at the fish stores that my fish are compatible with the moray.

because they wanted you to buy the fish...those morays will need at light high-end brackish water, or preferably marine, if not they will eventually be very prone to skin infections, and other problems that will lead to early deaths.

It's a good learning experience for me and I will know better next time something like this happens. BTW the moray was already converted to freshwater since it was a baby so it does not require brackish water.

Who gave you this bad information? You'd better do some real research on your moray eel or it will die a slow and agonizing death:(

This is frustrating. Killdog you are being fed bullshiat and you're too blind to see it. How old are you? Lfs don't know anything. You are on THE website that is the authority in freshwater predatory fish. You have the most knowlegable website there is at your fingertips and you ignore it. I'm done participating in these threads till you cleanse yourself of your brainwashing.

There is a sucker born every day.

It sure does need at minimum brackish water, regardless of whoever fed you that nonsense of not needing it due to conversion to FW

OK I see how all of this is the fish store owners feed people bullshiz so they can make a sale. We were going to get rid of him anyway because he tried to kill my rtcxtsn today. I am 15 and new to the hobby cut me some slack seriously.

You'll get slack as soon as you quit fighting the info you're getting and open your mind to the fact there's a wealth of knowledge here and a lot of people you can learn a vast amount of things from. There are a lot of hobbyists here that have had fish longer then you've been alive. If you enjoy keeping fish and learning you're gonna love this place.

I've kept FW Morays for 8 years now. Had close to 2 dozen. They die in FW, last a bit in heavily salted FW, will give you a few years in brackish, but you get the best results in saltwater. Its best to slowly convert them after you purchase them, few years in brackish then on to marine.
