looking great dixon , and the wood would be a perfect addition , some nice sumartran driftwood or redmoor would look great , even better go and raid the local park for some oak branches debark them and then sink them for a week or so , its just as good as any stuff you can buy in the shop , just make sure to get all the bark off, this way you can choose some really natural looking branches

cheers col

good luck man! keep us updated!

heres an update....

one of them jumped 2 days ago and managed to get stuck in a small hole next to the filter.
its was not looking good and it was one of the 2 that looked to have paired up.
it was lying on the bottom looking very poorly and the other one did not leave its side for a day which was very strange.
i took it out today and put it out of its misery as it turned upside down and lay there for about an hour.
all the other pulchra spent 1 full day hiding and came back out after i removed it.
i went to the tropical team lfs today and looked at a very nice bit of wood for £30 so i may see what kind of deal they can do that plus the 2 biggest pulchra they have in stock.

dixon , dont buy the very light wood from the tropical team , it is for vivs , i bought one to try and it leaked out a glue type substance into the water , i lost 3 obscura due to it . havnt been back down yet to tell them not to sell it to fishkeepers.

i have been soaking mine now in the bath for over a week but it is still leaching , it may clear up eventually but honestly more trouble thank its worth , just nip down the park and get some oak branches (that have fallen off naturally of course ;)) if its diferant stuff then worth trying.

on the fish side , grab them they looked good quality fish and must be wild caught at that size

did you see the big micro ?

cheers col.
