Where's Fish & Game when you really need them? Catch and release fish shouldn't be removed from the water at all if you can avoid it!

I posted a picture here.... Take a good look at that snook b/c he is prob. no longer living :(
I am digusted with the treatment of fish at Sebastian Inlet, FL. My boyfriend and I were fishing across from the guy who caught that snook, which I might add is not the guy in the picture. After the original guy that caught that snook unhooked it got his picture then DROPPED IT , he picked it up and gave it to the guy in the picture so he could take one too. Well guess what? He DROPPED IT too, then he drops it AGAIN, for a total of 3 times. Now my boyfriend calls to tell me to look at one of the Sebastian Fishing Report sights... and behold. The picture at the bottom was posted on the sight congradulating him for his catch that he didnt make to begin with and then dropped the fist twice... Congrats on the catch and prob. death of that snook. :irked: Which was roughly 35-40 inches.:irked::irked:

Sorry but I felt the need to post this, it really angered me.

Dont come to South Florida I have seen in my brief fishing experience total disregard for size, amount limit -dead fish scattered that person/s decided they werent going to eat among every fish "crime" there is.
Than again the real crime here is the current politicians who couldnt care less about anything being reelected

I have gone fishing lots places in South Florida I have yet to see Fish and Game

Makes u wish u can kick the crap out of people who mistreat animals . come on hook the guy and after the struggle u drop him over and over??? man that deserves a swift kick in the balls.

There are many people that fish. Some just aren't good at handling the fish they catch or abiding by the laws. It happens.

You people act like little girls. Damn chill out, so what he dropped the fish, it was big. Ive dropped many big fish on accident so what. The law says you cant keep them at that size, not that you cant take pictures of them and drop it on accident.

If I get kicked in the nuts for dropping fish or throwing them on the dock to save some time if the bite is hot... :swear:

You are so right Ash... right that they were wrong..mistreatment is something i cannot tolerate and most of all cannot understand.. don't they ever put themselves in the animals position.. just the stress and fear all by itself is cruel to do..it does not matter what kind of animal ..they all have feelings and should be always treated humanely as possible in all circumstances.

The so what is how the fish was treated it was being passed along like a hot potato and dropped I can see if they drop it once on accident but I mean 3 times ... seriously come on.. I dont think 3 times is an accident when they are just tossing it around like its nothing, carelessly. Yah its big but that doesnt meant the blow doesnt hurt it, that snook took some hard hits. I didnt say anything about it being bad they took the pictures.. I take pictures but I also take care of the fish I catch and throw them back with out dropping them. Yah sure throw the fish down if its legal and you plan on eating it otherwise its required that you throw it back, not throw them on the dock where it would prob. die. Its not that hard and it doesnt take that long to put the fish back in the water. Thats just my own view you dont have to agree.. =]

Seriously though, when a fish is to be released, you have the moral obligation to care for the fish to the best of your abilities. Your first accident with any fish should be your last, and the photo op. should be over to get the fish back in the water.
