Man do feel like a slacker.:( I do a 25 to 30% water change every 2 weeks although thats with a cleaning. My tanks are not overstocked at all and I feed 3 to 4 times a week. I do get to keep a close eye on my guys as well as do my tests once a week.:D

Are you serious?

On my 60 gal I do a water change of 20 gal a week and on my 29 gal I do 10 gal water change in total 40 gal water change on both tanks once a week. and my fish seem happy.

Yes, a tank of only 125gallons with four 8-10" rays, 12" NTT, 9"IT, 8" cichla, two 8" catfish, and a 15" fire eel needs that many water changes.

For filtration I have one FX5, a Rena XP3, two Marineland 350s, a w/d doing 900GPH and two sponge filters. I NEVER have ammonia but to keep nitrate leveles below 100PPM I have to do daily water changes...

I have a python though so I just drink beer and watch my tank drain and watch it fill...no biggie.

Wow I love your setup.I think 50% waterchanges a day aint to much, I was doing 25% a day on my 60 but now I do 25% every 3 days. Im curious to know what you have in your marineland 350's? I have 1 but I dont want to use the micron cartriges since they need cleanning alot. Are you using the carbon container and filling it up with bio? or are you using the micon cartiges?

That sounds like one LOADED tank. If you can make it work, though, which obviously you can since you're doing it, it must be a great lookin' tank. Do you have any pics posted anywhere??

I have a habit on doing water change. No matter how clean or dirty is my tank I always, I mean always do water change every 3 days and 50% of water. I do it to every tank I own.

Do you guys think it's to much?? I just believe no matter what kind of fish, a clean water always help the fish get healthy and grow faster.

Depends on what kind quality of your water source.
