Damn man, sorry for your loss :( I'm a noob to SH can someone tell me what type of SH this one is? He was gorgeous. :(
 
Some times on a somewhat dead fish you can put a little salt in its gills and it will liven right up again , i have done it ...sorry dood

It was a short bodied "sport" of the Giant Snakehead (Channa micropeltes), the picture is by JF Helias
 
I feel sorry for any one has lost a pet fish. There one of the greatest pets in the worls.
 
In the future I would look into a cooler of some sort. The ones people use for fishing are generally fine because they give the fish enough room and you can change water in the pretty easily if need be. Also you can let new air in simply by lifting the cover and reclosing. Draining is easy as well since it has the spout on the side to drain water. I have heard of arowana owners using these to transport their fishes. The coolers can be expensive but I think it might be worth the investment to avoid loses like this.
