man i was so pissed. my family was pissed. can you imagine a full house of filipinos, drunk off of their minds, yelling and speaking in our language? i can. it was funny but that call was so dissappointing. i feel that manny could have fought better. hoping for a rematch on novemer 10 baby. lets get back on it.

My buddy Jr who comes over for every UFC PPV is Filipino and we watched the Manny fight last night w/ a few friends. We all were outraged, but he got up from the couch said "I'm outta here..." and walked right out my house.

Pac won the fight but it truly wasn't as far of a gap as people are making it seem. This was another lazy at times effort from Pac. He still seems distracted. He is arguably one of the greats, but there will always be asteriks by that, because of the hgh, hormone, steroids stories. On the other hand this isn't a new phenomenon in boxing or in sports for that matter. Vince WWE has always pointed this out when criticized about wrestling. I'm not calling boxing or any other professional sport acting, but money makes the world go round. If you really want to see Pac lose tell him to take those drug test, because Floyd gonna be out and very hungry soon.

Its like the NASCAR v. F1 argument or the Football v. Futboll argument... Many americans just can't see outside our borders, "we" have no idea whats actually popular or thriving in the rest of the world because we're no shown it on our TVs... Like someone said in this thread, he had a whole house full of Filipinos going crazy for the fight, and I know when I travel again and see my Filipino friend, he'll be going crazy about it too. Boxing won't die, and neither will MMA, everyone loves fighting sports, so why argue about it? Like you said, butt-talking...
 
Saying it'll be the fight of the century shows how pathetic the sport has been. The best match up is two guys soon out of their prime who ducked each other for years.....while the last 12 years has produced little to talk about. What match ups of the last 12 years will people be talking? It's become a sport where people submerged in the culture pretend the rest of the sports community notice what's going on.

Cmon brah, you admit to not following boxing so how would you even know that there's little to talk about or whatever. Go visit a boxing forum, there's still people talking about great fights in the last ten years. Like I said, you nonboxing fans are only talking about your personal circle of friends in your world.

Personally, I think its stupid to always compare boxing and mma. They're completely different sports. An mma/boxing argument is as retarded as boxing/fencing argument.
