I was born and raised in Iowa where there was always plenty of snow and huge snow drifts. I've lived in Oklahoma now for (wow!) 28 yrs already. I miss the snow. The quietness and feeling of isolation when you're snowed in. It just snowed a foot here and broke all their state records....but it still wasn't near the amount I remember from growing up. Your pics are beautiful, Liz, and they bring back so many wonderful memories The dogs are loving it lol

i am glad you enjoyed the pics and brought back some memories.. it is a winter wonderland..

hey liz! you live in upstate NY? yeah lots of snow there. here in illinois the snow melts and turns into ice, and stays that way the rest of the year. and then it just gets bitterly cold and windy. cant say id miss it

Wow you really got it!We were only supposed to get a few inches and ended up getting over a foot!Made the drive home from work at 10 pm last night a little too interesting.

Me and the dog are still relaxing by the fire.Plow truck is dead so I got to get out there with a shovel. 250' driveway.

yeah, in blue springs we got like 8 inches. and it was 2 degrees last night. its hell keeping my room warm for my reptiles.

Hey from wisconsin! We had a similar situation last year christmas and the power went out for several days...not good for the reef. Hope the horses are doing okay, we used to breed, and still have several arabians, so I know how that is. My newfoundland loves the snow. Guess theres something about being 200 lbs and covered in thick black hair that makes cooling off in a snowbank a good time!
