i doubt you could leave him anything that he would eat. prolly just there for shelter. give him time? he doesnt look that large, but for his type, hes not big.

well he looks quite small in the picture. im only basing this off the fact that youve gotten a large amount of snow. maybe he will go out once the snow quits. i also think that if he/she were injured, they wouldnt be in such a tight space in the corner or your porch or etc., theyd be on the goround walking around under your porch. plus its prolly the middle of the day. if hes there tomorrow, then id be concerned, but for the time being, hes just fluffy

He looks kind of small to me too.. i think he may be the "great horned owl".. if he is, then he is a baby. They are 2 feet as adults and wing span of 5 feet.. that is why i started thinking maybe something was wrong cause he was young.. he is going to have a long wait till snow quits.. 8 inches tonight and snow next 4 or 5 days..:WHOA:

yeah he looks like a great horned. just give him some time, he may go out at anytime. your place was prolly just convenient shelter for him. looks too big to still be with his parents tho, altho im not too sure on how they do that for owls
