i am surprised, cons are so under rated!!!!!!!!

I have a con in my 100gal,with my flower horn,giant gourami,and a jack dempsey.the flower horn and jack picked on him every day all day until recently, he has started to pick fights with the jack,and ignores the flower horn even when he tries to push him around while fighting with the jack.I never realized how agressive the con can be,he was always getting beat up,now he pick's fight's,Go figure........
 
Mine spawned in the tank and would take the fry for a tour, attacking everyone who didn't get out of the way.

i personally love cons. they can be quite nice to look at when you have a quality fish thats taken care of. ive always had a pair of convicts in my cichlid tanks, always keeps a supply of fresh food for the other guys with the way they breed
 
They are one of my fav.I have a pink male and wild caught female in my 135.
 
Mine spawned in a 180 with a couple of large oscars, jack dempsey and 7 inch RTC/TSN hyprid, they completely dominated the whole tank and I ended up taking all the other fish out until the fry get large enough to net out, as much as it was a pain in my rear end, it was a pretty impressive display
 
cons are just great they look nice they have very different personalities from one another, and they are so ambitious. funny to say about a fish but they will breed anywhere, really an awesome cichlid and anyone with a tank 55 gallons and up should put in a con or two no matter whats in there. they are awesome.
