I bet you your clown loach isn't as big as this!

Now that is a beast right now...impressive speicemen.

I was just shocked I like the fact these guys live like 10 maybe 15 years and easy fish to keep. They won't bother anyone and look nice. I personally saw one at 8" for 60$ at a lfs and I thought that was pretty large. Your 11" must be awesome.

Did you grow it that big? How long do you think my 2-3" loaches will get that big? 5 years ?

No sadly I can't take credit for growing the big loach myself. Brought a group of 9 last summer and the 11"er was the biggest, most are around 6-8".
Recently acquired two more groups, bringing my mega shoal to around 36+ individuals :) :) :)

I'll do a thread of them soon

Imagine... Big ones like these are/were eaten... Probably bigger. In their natural habitat I'd bet ones we think as monsters are still getting eaten... Imagine if they would realize what a monster clown loach like that would be prized/cost to us...

That's a whole lot of clowns! I swear clown loach keeping is an addiction lol. I told myself I was done getting clowns just a couple weeks ago. And some how a wild caught 9" clown just jumped in my tank last week! I don't even know how it happened... Hahaha

The high price of Clown loaches has kept me away for awhile.

I like clown loaches but wouldn't personally pay more than 50$ for one. I like growing out fish so this fish would be perfect wouldn't outgrow my tank until 15 years from now lol

It sure is addictive! Don't think I'll ever stop searching for the occasional larger specimen to add, like any hobby that involves collecting/hoarding, you never really stop lol!

Have to admit that keeping such a large group makes for great viewing, when they whole group is on the move its a sight to be seen, my god do they eat though! :)
