He said the midas is a beast and bites during cleanings and it can draw blood. So I'm guess it will kill my readhead, pike, and rainbow wolf

Not sure what to do. I like the pike and you don't see vennys around here often but that midas is sick

Remember the war you had in that 75 between the Mayan and the Blackbelt? Well expect more of the same if you throw in a knowingly aggressive Midas. I would definitely trade for the Midas. He's very nice. But you may have to lose all of your current fish to keep it. And since Pike Cichlids are known to despise each other, picking up the Venny could mean that you will have two pikes constantly fighting it out until one is dead or seriously injured. there's not a whole lot of options that you have when trying to keep large, moderate to highly aggressive cichlids in a 75. Both the Venny and Midas look great. So you have some tough decisions.

I was hoping you would chime in gruff your easy to listen to and bring a lot of good points up. Now this would only have to work till august or the month after when I get a new place and the 150 goes up. I could keep some of the fish in my 30 gallon tote med tank

Thanks. I like to listen and help when I can. The thing is, August is still months away. A large and aggressive cichlid can decimate a tank in hours, days, or in a few weeks. You just never know what's going to happen. If you separate them between the tote and the 75gal. It may make things work a little better until August. Another problem is that your fish in the 30 tote will continue to grow during this time. That may cause more problems in a cramped space. Since this is temporary you'll probably have to monitor the fish and switch them around until you find the right mixes that work between the 75 and the 30. The only thing to do is to try it and keep an eye on them.
