I can get this midas in a trade?

If you want both the Venny and the Midas, then make the trade for them. You just need to think about how well they will live with any other future inhabitants that will share the 150 with them. I kind of figured that you were leaning towards keeping them both 
. They're both very nice looking fish. I have very limited knowledge in Crenicichla, even less about keeping large ones with Midas or Red Devils. I'm sure that it has been done successfully by at least one member. Who knows? But I am fairly certain that you will end up with both fish. Just remember to post pics.

I have a friend who will take my fish in until i want it back and im going to buy a larger tote tomar for the readhead although i think they may get along since my readhead is pretty aggressive
I'm taking the pike and not the midas because there's no way to keep him with tankmates so I may buy one and grow it out with tankmates

I'm passing on the midas due to the fact that the guy said it will kill anything its housed with. He said a bigger tank wouldnt help ease his aggression. So today I went out and bought a midas. I wanted a red devil but no one had one. I like the midas but if the lfs gets a devil this week im gonna go get it and go from there

Yea gruff im getting the pike saturday. The guy told me a lil more about the midas and hes said its a straight killer. Its was given to him because it killed all the fish in its previous tank. I thought about a red devil but im not sure if if they would be a safer bet. I like the bulk of the midas. I would like a cross of the 2
