Did you always live there? Did you ever have earthquakes there? I lived in Downey, California for about a year.. i should have traveled over to your area before i left.. because i know i would have loved it there. And coons i am used to too.. one morning i went out to my barn to feed the horses and turned on the barn light to see the racoon and my barn cat side by side eating cat food.. they all make friends with each other .. another night a big rat was sharing dinner with my horse.. Legacy did not mine.. But the barn is near the woods and the horse grain brings them in once in awhile..

No, I grew up in Southern California. Yes, we have earthquakes here! I remember as a kid growing up in S. Calif..we used to have earthquake drills, and had to get down under our desks. I guess there is a price to pay no matter where you live.....I tried to check into homeowner's insurance with a different carrier, but our house didn't qualify--the insurance company had our area listed as fire area, or something...everything's green year round here. And there's even a volunteer fire station less than a mile away!

Our outside cat has been leaving her kills on our patio. A fox visited us once. The only creatures I hate are the skunks. On two occasions a skunk has cut loose under our house. What ordeals they were...people could smell me twenty feet away! I got that Skunk Away or Off...supposedly dried fox urine..that's supposed to drive skunks off...which reminds me, we better put some under the house before we get more unwanted guests.

Nice pic! I guess everything is relative...I can hardly wait for summer...at Shasta Lake with temps between 95 and 115 where you have to jump in the water to cool off and survive the heat. We have to put the cat in the water to swim and cool off...by the end of last summer she would get off her board and swim back to

Pacu kitten is so cute especially with the little smug expression she has.. she is really something.. so it gets really hot there in the summer.. hot enough for pacu kitten to like a swim..thats hot!

I quess when you get those wilderness forest fire they can devestate ..but it does not make sense to me how these insurance companys can pick and choose this way.. and actually leave people in dire need.. some companies have literly moved out of Florida in the hurricane prone areas and now the premiums are so high for insurance that people are losing their houses to foreclosure because they cannot afford their high rates.. and god for bid you should make a claim.. you better make it a whopper because shortly after they will cancel you for it..sad

Sure am glad a skunk didn't walk in the trap when we were relocating those coons...
