I have a single GT in a 55.I would say that is all that you could keep. They are too unpredictable with tank mates to try and keep something else with them,IMO. Oscars and JD get too large for a 55.

Just clarifying, a jd won't get to large for a 55g. Actually a pair of jd could work in one.

I agree. JDs are the smallest of those 3. I think a pair would be fine in there

1 oscar would be fine, if he wanted to do a pair then I would say it is to small

So a fish that has the ability to reach 14" should be in a tank that is 12" wide?

My oscar is only 8" so far and my 75 is starting to look small (but he's got less than a month until he gets a new tank)
