wow, if you had 800 to buy rays you should have saved 200 more to buy a leo from stingrayguy!! or 2 nice marbles!!!!! wow!! 800! man i wish i had it to spend on a ray :( instead i'm just stuck with 2 grown retics, boring :(
 
i was expecting 2- 10 1/2" scobina..a rarely seen or kept rays..obviously i didn't get what i expected.they're neither scobina or 10 1/2"..add it to the screwed by tfd list..
 
You said you were going to send the rays back for a refund? we offered you a refund , no problem. You chose not to send them back.

I agree !That is hardly the point! The vendor obviously took advantage knowing most people don't know the first thing about shipping rays. I have noticed a lot of complaints about TFD on this and other sites. I don't understand why they are still alowed on this board. My understanding is that they have been in business for a long time and shoud know the difference between the two rays. They always send a smaller and less valuable ray. I 've yet to hear of them accidently sending a large Tiger Ray mistaken for a Scobina. I don't know the victom personally but it sucks to see an innocent person get ripped off for his hard earned money. I agree with Azin. I think a boycott is in order. Give your business to honest vendors. Stories like this make me wish Dave Webber was back into selling rays.
 
Im glad i found this thread i was planing on buying rays from TFD:WHOA:
havent bought rays for awhile the last time i bought one was from the man David weber...

I do think that in this case the vendor should have known better, for several reasons...
As importers they know which country the ray came from, how much it cost and what it was sent up as.
If it was unknown then a simple look in the aqualog reference book and a little read of the text would have clearly told that this is not a scobina.
