I know some people on MFKers catch fish and keep them, like pbasses, right? But doesn't the hook cause injuries to their jaws?

yes, but very little damage.

use light wire hooks and heavier than normal line (like 10lb test for sunfish and 50lb braid for bass). the light wire hooks do very little damage and you dont have to play the fish very long on heavy line.

always net the fish you intend to keep for fishtank or release, causes less stress and damage to the fish.

but... you could go light too. so ur not horsing in fish, which may cause exessive damage to the fish, but it makes them stress out and build up acids that could kill them...

Oh what the h3ll...it heals ok:D ;) . just use meds and quarantine them for a month and ur good. (ive never quarantined my fish though :screwy: )

here we use hooks without the barbel, when we want to keep them alive.....

There is a pike in a lake near me, he has his territory and we have caught him 3 times on smelt on this single sandbar, he is always 12lbs and he has a scar on his left flank. Fish are really tough, and kind of dumb...

You must be dumb if you think fish are dumb.

Any way, thanks for the info guys.

lol, if I kept picking up the same thing that had me dragged out of my home by my face I would think I was dumb....
