I can't believe that fish survived such an attack. I think the humane thing to do would be to euthanize. Just my .02.

I don't want to scare you, but you only have about 1" left until your Cuban cichlid morphs into a homicidal juggernaut killing all of its tankmates regardless of their size. I had to remove a 5" Cuban Cichlid from my aggressive cichlid tank. It beat the crap out of a larger ~6" Dovi, similar sized Jaguar, 10" Buttikoferi Tilapia and four 12"+ Nile Tilapia so bad that it was obvious that it was "creating" its own species tank.

I bought a 1.5" Cuban to growout to hopefully keep the other Cuban in the species tank. I figured that it was safe to keep it growing out with a 8" golden red-spotted severum, a 6" red-headed severum and a 5" Polleni Tilapia. It killed the bigger severum within a week, started immediatly on the next severum & Polleni which I am now treating with melafix. Prep yourself for a brusier! I would not dream of allowing this little killer be in a tank in the same room with my 6+' EBJD in my avatar.

I agree with another poster. Freezer for the kisser. I always try to make the best of the situation. Keep telling yourself that it was just a "slightly pricey" feeder, but that your pets are worth it!

If HUMANS can be looked after and can be believed in even when they are disabled.... needing a wheelchair....and can't see or talk without help... Im sure even fish deserve that chance.

You purchased the fish for your benefit mostly....and in your tank he was injured...so I think in your other tank you should give him a chance to make a come back

But everyone here has probably kept fish longer than me, and you may want to go with their decision...

Once a fish is on his/her back...its basically a person without legs, and WITHOUT a wheel chair... but upto you at the end sir. Goodluck.

looks like a good snack, I'm sure some of your fish would appreciate the other half. its SUPER highly unlikely the fish will survive, get some use out of it while you still can
