Well you have to keep in mind if he uses a 8ft sheet of plywood for the floor the outside walls sit on TOP of the floor so the inside dimensions will be a little less as it wont be a full 8ft inside especially since an 8ft sheet is roughly 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch shorter then true 8 feet. Just having an few inches shorter can make a difference.
