So I've been trying to find a 300-500 gallon tank for awhile now and I just got a call from a guy this morning who bought a store and it had two 750 gallon tanks fully set up for saltwater. I obviously want to go freshwater but sounds like it has an awesome filtration system that could be easily transfered to fresh.

He is asking $4000 but said he needs it gone ASAP. This thing is huge and I dont really have anywhere to put it, plus my wife would kill me if I bought it. I guess Im just looking for reasons to buy this beast....I've been thinking about offering $2000 and see where it goes....

AHHHHHH I want it so bad....it would literally take up my entire livingroom. Maybe I could just stick it in the garage until I buy my next house (few years) and I can build it into a wall. Would be sick!

Stores always pay more on their set ups, I bet it has a bunch of fancy equipment, go check them out. You could probably sell the saltwater stuff and make a decent amount back so it's like buying a 750g at 300-500 gallon cost.

Why buy it if you don't have the room? That thing is huge and extremely heavy. I would let it go. You can have just as much fun with a smaller tank especially if you are just doing freshwater.

ok, so me and my fiance have this conflict all the time, the space thing, i can really understand... we usually just dont leave the other one with a choice and get it while the gettin is good. you dont know when the next time something like that comes along. and freshwater fish can get just as big as any saltwater fish kept in an aquarium... my opinion, if you can afford and are able to talk him down, go big or go home... but this is also coming from the girl that let her fiance get a 6in lift kit on his 2010 jeep then put 37in boggers underneath it.:naughty:

Dimensions are 12' long by 2.5' wide 4.5' tall.(which really comes out to just over 1000 gallons) I’m not really crazy about the 4.5 tall.... The guy I was talking to didn’t know much so his dimensions could be off...either way I'm probably going to go take a look.

If I get it, I have a Jag, Texas Cichlid, Festae, JD, GT already, and will probably be buying a Black Aro.

Damn I phone. What I was trying to say is if you have that much to spend, buy brand new the dimensions you want and will have warranty.
