Put her back in her natural environment if you cant care for her properly. Not to be rude, but you might have ruined the eggs by now.

The correct statement would have been "Don't take something out of it's natural environment (or buy it, in case of LFS), if you don't have the means or knowledge to care for it." (which if you want to nit-pick, you should be copying and pasting that message onto a a few hundred different posts here on MFK, not just this one.)

But to release the crayfish would be a stupid move, truthfully. He's previously kept other species of crayfish, which means the crayfish could now potentially be carrying things like WSSV, YSH, microsporidians, Ramularia and/or Didymaria, and Aphanomyces astaci. And then it could be spread to wild populations... YSH, Ramularia and Didymaria aren't horrendous (though they can be) but WSSV, microsporidians and Aphanomyces astaci spread quickly and are fatal and without any known treatment.

(Not being mean or anything, just point out a few things. ^_^)

try putting saran press and seal on any openings. i hear it works wonders for exscapees

my comment?
i mean use the saran wrap press and seal stuff you can get in grocery stores. its the stuff you see in commercials, with them putting it around a plate and turing it upside down and the stuff stays. you cant see through it.

you put it around the openings in the tank, were anything can escape. they wont be able to escape ever again
