I got a FREE Arowana today!!! but theres a catch... he's badly injured!!!

i just read this thread and the progress that you have made is very admirable, it started with a dink of a fish that couldnt even swim, now its eating and swimming normally, im amazed, for you and the fish, i really hope the fish pulls through, good job man

see if you can find a product called "MELAFIX" .. its a fantastic product you can use to help promote the healing of the fish.. Increase the temp to 88-89F and add black water extract, black water makes them naturally calmer. higher temp promotes a better appetite. And frequent water changes .. Good luck, thats a nice lil aro with alot of potential
 
Just a small update.. i'll try to go on to this thread periodically..

Fish is doing well... eating crickets.. been giving him two a day.. Gonna go back to petsmart to get more.. Also, he's allowed me to touch him....

Kinda rare.. my other arowana is scared of me.. but this one is very calm and has let me hand lift him from water.. (I wanted to check on his skin)


Here's something interesting.. I just HAPPEN to see in on MFK and saw the viewers # 1337!

LOL.. what are the odds?!?!?:headbang2

IF anyone doesn't know what 1337 means look it up!
