I got a mossy frog!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He said he was selling the pair's babies earlier, so they were proven. Don't know why, but he was getting out of mossy frogs for some reason or another. He seemed sad to let them go.

I missed a hell of a chance, didnt I? I feel pretty dumb now!

By the way, does the viv need to have that much water? Mines about 3/4 land, 1/4 water. Should I change it up a bit? And how many frogs do you think could fit in a 20 gallon, and breed?

Adult mossies dont really spend any of their time on land. Most breeders that I know of of mossies do the tanks with the couple inches of water and lost of driftwood sticking up out of the water.
They are a decent size frog in a 20 gal I would only put two.

Oh yeah if he was telling the truth you missed one hell of a deal.

I like the way your frog looks. Interesting and I wish they sold those around here.

wow what a crazy looking frog, it almost makes want to get into frog alone with my fish. i have a question as i know nothing of your little fancy frog, but is he toxic?? i see you wearing gloves? mother nature is the bomb let me tell you!!!

I wear gloves when I have to handle any of my frogs.
Not for my protecting but for their. They absorb everything through their skin. I am a smoker ( i know bad) even after washing my hand I want to keep anything that may be on my hands off of them

Alright, I changed up the viv. Its about 3/4 water, maybe morel. The land area is basically just a small bromeliad plant for cover (and looks). He does spend a lot of time behind it in the corner though. I'm hitting the pet store this weekend, so I'll pick up some driftwood or cork bark for him.

And do you feed yours in or out of the cage?
