Heh my rasheed is serial number 769 is says on the side. At least I believe thats the serial number since the rest of the numerals on the gun are arabic except for a single electropenciled number on it. Yeah The Ljungman is in VG condition as is the Hakim ive got...the AG42's big brother. The moison nagant is a finish built one even got the bayonet for it which is actually worth more then the gun lol. All told ive got a fair number of old military rifles. I like the AK styles you have but I stayed away from them due to not having enough knowledge to keep from getting ripped off. Been wanting an AKM 74. My hats off to you for keeping them original. I cringe every time I see a wonderful old battle rifle thats been desecrated with non issue drilled scope mounts or cut down stocks or god forbid tac rails with lasers on them. It's nice to know there's somebody else out there not butchering em. (sorry for the rant)

I am sorry if this is viewed as a derail but I figure someone on this thread will know the answer,and I don't feel like starting a new thread for it.
Questions is,can you still get the Barrett M107 predecessor,the Barrett M82A1?
I have seen people with these and had heard there was going to be a halt on it's availability to the public, however since then I have seen someone with a privately owned M107 so I was curious....
I know they are not legal in Cali,is that the only place so far?

You can find m82's on gunbroker.com easily. The only place they are currently non legal as far as im aware is in the peoples republic of kalifornia. As far as im aware The M107 is the military designation and M82A1 is the civilian version.

.50bmg here comes under a Class R weapon which is military, same group has assault rifles. So be glad you can get them anywhere in america cause you cant in aus.

Those bayonets are very rare in good to excellent condition. These Finnish "spitz" rifles however should not be discarded as junk.. I shot a match with mine at Camp Perry and elsewhere and out shot, or equaled, any springfield, garand and M-14 on the range everytime...Granted I was shooting Lapua "special" match (read handloads tweaked for consistency and performance with the gun) in it but that thing turned a lot of heads and won me a few shiny medals and trophy's... It even got me noticed by the Marines who offered me a pretty good job. (Of which I declined)
I did not alter my gun at all, in fact it was as stock as it would have been in the Russo-finnish war. Basically an old gun but kept up well. You really do not need a rifle that has all sorts of scopes and stocks and lights and crap. What you need is training and the ability and knowledge to use your gun to it's advantage. I do not understand all of this Tact'ing out old guns. They where not made for 30 round mags and crap hung all over them. Might make the user feel they have something "scary" but in reality it is just makeup and window dressing. The original thing and some intelligence can make a stock service SKS just as effective as some bubba'ed massacre.
I'm not even going to go into how people that wreck these guns also wreck the history of them in such a disrespectful and disgusting manner.
I have some AK recommendations for you but will get to that in a bit.
The fin bayonet I've got is in 92% or better going by bluebook. Scabard has a couple light scuff spots and the handle has a couple dents. Thats about it. Paid 175 for it several years ago at a gunshow in austin tx. Just as hard to find is a bayonet for an svt-40 tokarev paid a fair bit more for one of those. One of my favorite rifles though is a 1884 built steyr kropatchek. If you ever have a chance at one buy it. Amazing quality of build. 123 year old rifle and it puts most modern guns to shame. You can flip the bolt handle up and tilt the rifle back and the bolt slides back like its liquid. No rattles no slop. Puts the average browing to shame. Ever play with the SAFN-49's? If you havnet you should try em out. Change of pace from an ak variant. 
Oh poly I finally read all thru the thread. I Also have a g-43. Non import marked. Havent been able to locate a scope and mount for it though. If you hear of one of those please do tell. Any other older rifles you find interesting? Heh i've got a few oddballs.

after reviewing this site: http://yooperj.com/SKS.htm i'm not so sure my sks is a refurb. my friends have a russian tula sks that is 1953 i believe (1 year after mine) adn they insist it isn't refurb, and the sks is def different looking. the reciever/ dust cover appears to be painted, not blued like mine, and the bolt is black, also the stock doesn't seem to be lacquered or at least have as much lacquer on it. aside from that i cannot remember any specific differences, but from what i've been reading at yooper's site it seems like their sks may be refurb and mine isn't. am i right? or am i all confused
