Alright it's here. I've got it in place but won't have my wet/dry until tomorrow.

The exciting part is what kind of tank to make it. I've changed my mind several times on what to stock. At first I was thinking with going with a Central American community tank with a nice big fat Trimac at the top of the list. Then my mind started wandering and thought this is my chance to finally keep a Dovii. The biggest tank I've had up to now is 156 gallons. Dovii are always praised so highly that it would be cool but then I could only keep one fish or a pair right? Now I'm starting to think a group of Tiger Dats would be awesome or would I have room for an Arowana or Florida Gar??? The tank is 84"x24"x30". Not very wide but it's what I've got to work with.....

Opinions and Suggestions welcome.....please reply.

Ok I understand, I'm limited by width so Aros are out. My first gut instinct was CA cichlid tank. I've been wanting to get another Trimac. And if I went that way, what should I add with him? A Red Devil, a couple of Vieja's, and a Loisellei plus some Filament Barbs and Red Hooks. How does that sound? and maybe a catfish of some sort.

Ok here was my other thought. A tank full of Tiger Dats and Bichirs. Could I add Bichirs to the tank mentioned above?

Any thoughts or other ideas?

And does everyone think a Dovii tank would be a waste?? Can I not keep a dovii with anything else?

Nice tank, I like the CA idea, but man a pair of doviis would be nice. I think that eventually the dovii's size would eliminate the possibility of tankmates.

I think the dovii tank would be the best, if you can get a pair in there I would go for it. If not, I like your CA biotype tank idea it would look sweet.
