Hi Birdie! How's your tank doing? I think you have a pretty good thing going there! I think you can add 5-15 more neon tetras in there, after a quarantine period of course! Your gouramis will occupy the top part of your tank whilst the neons will fill up your mid- to lower-levels. You can probably add a school of corydoras for some action on the substrate! Just make sure you get at least six of these because they like to keep their own company! And make sure that you also feed them, not just count on having them subsist on leftovers! (Shrimp pellet, algae wafers, etc.) You might even see the corys spawning if your water conditions are good! GL!

The tank is going great, all the fish are going well, i had to rescue a tetra who seemed to be stuck in one of the extra plastic plants i added (who babies to hide in if i get any) so i got him out of the plant and he'd swim along then float to the top, so i left him in the tank and went to bed and got up the next morning he was fine...

you recon add some more neon's?

Cory's? are they catfish? or something else? should i be feeding some special for my two bristlenose? or are they fine to eat the tropical fish flakes? i haven't seen them eat it, the gouarmi's come to the surface and eat it, and the neons grab it when its sinks after it goes under the spray bar or gets a wet enough...

Cories are better cleaners than BN plecos. I like the neon school. Watch your DG's they can be aggressive towards neons at times. BN's eat algae wafers and will also eat veggies like cucumber or zucchini on a veggie clip.

No clown loaches. I agree the angels will get too big for your tank. I would keep the blue ram pair, up your rummynose school to about 6-8 and add 5 smaller cories. This would max out your stocking.

I've went with different fish if you read my recent posts...

:duh: Sorry Birdie! for some reason I was thinking that you had a 55 gallon tank. You probably have enough neon tetras for your tank. My bad. :grinno: Did you get 2 bristlenose plecos? They can be pretty territorial and you may have to get rid of one of them. Hope you read this and that you haven't purchased anymore neon tetras. Sorry! Must have been reading another thread before I posted in yours :grinno:.

You could still go with a shoal of small corydoras - maybe something like 5-6 panda corydoras. These are cute and have lots of personality! Where are the pics :D?

That's a nice looking tank! What are those terra cotta rings? Are these usually made for use in the garden? Very nice tank!

Thanks :-) They are actually the pots the plants came in :-P I put them in there with the hope that the bristlenose might use them to hide in... instead of hiding at the back where i have no chance of seeing them... but hasn't worked the best yet... i might need to get some rocks to build a cave for them...
