.. yes it was about fish! ... lol been debating talking about this.. but.. I figured why not?

So atm our new pool is sitting at walmart ready to be picked up.. and it will officially put us in the 1k gallons club. I have been having some very weird dreams ( being knocked up makes women crazy I tell you!:nilly:) about filtering it, and doing everything that needs to be done to get it fish ready. It's a 10'x30" intex pool, so it holds roughly 1,100 gallons per the label. so many ideas and dreams about how to filter this thing...

How would you filter it? or do you filter yours? ( I know there are a few out there with this or similar set-ups) pics are great! but so are more ideas of how to create an awesome filter for this thing.

how about a extra large bio filter. biofilters make great filters. there are lots of vids on youtube on how to make a diy bio filter you just need to make a enlarged one for your pond. i have a bio filter which works great for my 800 gallon

Haha I have totally dreamed about fish. Both catching and keeping. I think its quite normal for someone to dream about something they're truly passionate about!

So what did your dream tell you to do?

When I was a kid I had 3 different dreams about fish all the time. One was fish would swim around inside our house like our house was a giant fish tank. Another dream we had a swimming pool I dreamed fish could enter our pool from the drain and fish from the lakes would get into our swimming pool through the drain. Another dream I always had we had a creek behind my parents house. In my dream I would see all kinds of colorful tropical fish swimming in it. I could go and catch my own tropical fish to put in my tank. These three dreams I had often it still very vivid in my memory.

Back when I was trying to breed my fish I had these weird dreams about it every night.

I had a dream that I moved house and it had a huge inside pool with loads of fish that where mostly new to me. In a room under the pool it was filtered by the water flowing down through different draws. Also full of nice fish. It sounds like our dreams could be connected.

After much debate and exploration.. I'm building the filter in my dream as weird as it is. Go figure.... Pretty sure it was a warning to get on it sooner then later( which I ignored of course) .... sow hile the ammonia is fine the nitrites have raised in the pool... so we are now on our second 50% wc.... to keep them at manageabe levels.. con't move most the fish into other tanks.. since tehy are all broken down ect or the fish just to big. Soo.. long cycle has been the only real "safe" route. hubbys already crying about the water/electricity consumption...

You should check your KH - If it flatlines it will stall a quick cycle. You can raise it without impacting your pH by using potassium carbonate.

An ideal KH to maintain if you want fast fish growth and a quick cycle is >200.
