just a word of advice if you have several dogs in your household. if you leave home, just put this dog in an extra room. if the seizure come over him again and nobody is around to help, maybe the others will attack him in his helpless situation. just an advice

thanks for the advice.. the only other dog i have is a collie.. and the collie loves the dobie.. today when we were all laying on the floor next to dobie...the collie put his paw on her paw.. while he laid near her.. i could not believe how distraught he was... so i understand in most cases this would be an issue..but not with the collie..

i just found out about joey.. how very sad.. i have been so busy with issues.. i never dreamed he wouldn't make a recovery.. so sad....

yes it can happen, i know it might sound strange to a person that has not seen it,but if a pack sees a dog down and acting strange then yes it can trun nasty in a split sec..
but like devil says she has a loving collie that loves the dog in question,so no worrys ther

i have been working with groups of dogs for 2 years now and also helping with aggression, re-activity and possession cases. so i have seen my fair share of dog fights.
and yes some dogs will attack a a helpless dog but not all dogs will. it depends on the dogs personality.

Thank you for the link, I will check it out. They seem like a great breed.

yes this way you can learn everything about them from other owners..
