i hate chavs

Wow, this thread has only gotten heated like 5 months after it's original posting. I've never heard of chavs, but I have heard of neds when I went home for a visit. From what I always understood, it has nothing to do with race, social, or economic class... it has to do with attitude. But maybe I'm wrong.

If it helps I'm a cracker and have probably been poorer than any of you and I don't care.. You are in the midst of alot of people who have been dirt poor. A joke is a joke. From what I get "chav" is more of an attitude, lack of class. And just because you're poor or working class doesn't mean you have to have a lack of class.

wow this thread got took way outa hand....a chav is sterotyped....chav isn't a race or a religion its just a group of people with common interests.....

one thing you guys are missing is that that chavs......love being chavs! they live up to it.

The only people who are have a discussion about it being racist are americans who have never seen/met a chav...........loads of my friends are chavs they are the most down to earth people but some of their morals as a tax paying citizen annoys me, so i had a little rant.....wasn't to offend anyone who is poor....some chavs are actually rich...chav is more about how they carry their morals .....if you only have a slight oppinion on chavs and you have never met one ....you get your info from wikipedia its not really fair to comment.

I completely agree with you in that the video was freakin hilarious. If princess had just posted this video, this thread would have been great, but the "i hate chavs" comment came and that is what I disagree with. Discrimination. Period.

Can anyone on this site argue that this thread is full of discrimination?

I do believe i should have worded it better than HATE thats a strong word...maybe i've grown up in the past 4 month also as you read this thread you find out thats chavs arn't bad people at all and just need a big cuggle.

My point I was trying to make is that hate is a strong word, and that if had an american as princess so rightly put it that said I hate rednecks or asians or wiggers even on this forum it would have gone south way earlier as I had previously stated. The comment about offending poor people though isn't the point. I guess some have higher moral standards. I find tons of things funny, and probably the most easy going guy you can meet. The comment about how everyone is racist to some point got to me though. I live in the south and have for 20 years now. I have seen racism that you all can only read in stories and books. I guess I just see it differently.
