i hate my driftwood

it has taken forever for my drift wood to leach
got any ideas how to make it go faster...?

I like the color in my tank, but if you dont you can do more WC or take it out and soak it in some hot/boiling water for a while.

meaning, to get the "Tea" look? boil it, cool the water, and add it to your tank.

I don't see why you dislike tannins. It actually benefits plenty of fish by minimizing chances of skin diseases, etc. You can use carbon but I'm conservative with my tannins. All my river tanks have tannins and I like it better that way.

yeah i like it a bit too but there is heaps of it....

move the driftwood to a tub with water in it and do the water changes there. then you can just empty all the water and refill it.

can I ask a dumb driftwood question. if I had driftwood in my aquarium and it leached. then recently did a water change and took out the driftwood. am i going to have to boil the wood and again and is it going to leach?
