Purigen works wonders. If you don't get the pillows make sure you get "the bag", otherwise the media can get EVERYWHERE.

FishyJoe - Each piece of Driftwood has a given amount of tannins (tannic acid) in it. Once you get it out, it's out. I'm not sure if I fully understood your question, so I hope that helped....

yeah that helped. I just wanted to know if it was going to leach,or if I was going to have to boil it again. so I can just re-put it back in the tank and it will be fine? cool. thanks
