i see plenty of hiding places, nice cover for fry in the fake plants, and a initiative for younger kids to get into the hobby. whats wrong with that set up? a fish wont know weather its a rock cave or fake cave. even though someone will say otherwise.
On the first photo of the SBSPtank, it looks like there's 4 Neons, which is fine for that set up. I think I'm going to set up a 'Winnie the Pooh" tank soon!.......
Its ok to hate Spongebob. Don't think you're alone in this Younglin.
Just admit it that it was the theme not the "natural environment" route cuz from my experience its hogwash
Cute tanks. I like some but not all of em but ill like em if a kid told me they did the decorating.
I've been wowed so many times here on MFK for the some of artifical setups that would put natural tanks to shame. Its an artistic expression for many of us a reflection such as decorating our rooms. Fish will care less as long they got food, shelter, top notch water conditions they thrive in think they'll be happy.
There are many fish out there that have proven many times over that artifical/fake caves/houses etc are their preference over dang natural rock/driftwood in the same tank. Its the shelter to the fish not the looks. They don't discriminate on that basis like us humans do! A lesson we all should learn from em and let the children learn that too.
And wanted to poke fun at the logic reasoning behind not being natural... Its natural now look at the garbage in our environment nowadays. I think its trippin to label a natural tank to have a tank without a bottle or a tire in it with plastic floating about. Maybe golf balls or two will fit just in and call it a true natural tank.

The first thread is 90% of kids tanks. The decor is fine I am more scared abut what might go in it and how the fish(es) will be taken care of.
I admit that the idea of making a pirate themed tank sounds fun and mixing something cheesie with some ADA style planting and hard scape could make it unique. Plus I named my Fangs puffer Captain Puff
