I HATE PETSMART

In Australia, you can start work at 13 in retail. I've applied at a good LFS near me but havent got a reply in over 2 months, yet go there at least once a fortnight.

In the fish-keeping worl, theres NO such thing as over-qualified. But they probably arent used to people scoring higher than a C on thier tests.

A+ = Over-qualified.

Never even heard of "over-qualified" in the fish world.:D Beyond perfect no doubt.:grinyes:

i had a friend that was refused a job as she had worked at a real lfs .

they just need mindless people to brainwash into there way of thinking

Actually...yes you have to be 18 to work at a DC...you must be SEVENTEEN to work at a petsmart store.

the guy chase that refered me turned 16 two months before he started working there, so its 16

true, then who do i turn them into???

The higher ups. :D
I think the age might vary from state to state though. I knew a girl who was hired at a different Petsmart when she was 17 but she had to have a work permit to get hired and wasn't allowed to work more than part-time.

Perhaps it was your lack of spelling skills that kept you from getting the job. They just made up the "over-qualified" part to make you feel better. There is no way in hell that a 16 year old could be over qualified for a job.

BTW, unless things have changed since I worked there, 16 was the age limit; though they were cashiers.

The rule was changed very recently. I work in E. AZ about ten miles from Corporate...please trust me.
