Remember, its not their fault they are running out of habitat to live in. We've chopped down the forests the least we can do is accommodate them now. I'm not a tree hugging hippy or whatever but these animals are trying to adapt to a world we've created.

I see where you're coming from but I don't really think this is the case, not in my experience at least (in central and north FL). Squirrels seem to leave the wooded areas for the neighborhoods/etc where they get free food from bird feeders and have no natural predators (except cats and cars). Then they breed like crazy and their population just gets out of control.

Theres a National Forest nearby that I go to once in awhile to fish at the spring fed ponds/lakes, and there aren't nearly as many squirrels out there in the forest as there are in some of the neighborhoods around here.

Nice vid.
I can just imagine my duck under him. :(
Better be careful.

Definitely be careful. That's how I lost my pet female Mallard that I raised from a chick. A Red-tailed Hawk like this one caught her one day while I was at work.

Seriously people. It's a squirrel. They're everywhere and breed like rabbits.
Use the .22

We were infested out here in the woods, until Mr. Hawk moved in and put on a show for about a month finished them all. Now chipmunks are all over my yard digging tunnels everywhere my lawnmower blade had to be changed 2 times this year from sinking in the holes hitting rocks.
