Beaver problems! Here I thought the 4 kittens and the lonely raccoon were the sole critters getting into my trash. Nope...There's what I would estimate to be a 30 pound beaver making his way up from the lake, through the barns, and up toward my house where it ensues to get in my trash and in turn, really tick me off. Any suggestions for what I should put in a trap for bait?

Any food with a strong scent like almost spoiled fruit or leftover dinner should lure him in.

If it always follows the same path and there is a bottle neck area you can just set it there for it to pass over/threw.

i put rat poison all over the neighbor hood to take care of the coons and stuff. they usually have 2 dead each morning and ill take them home to eat.

I've seen the raccoon and the beaver. I didn't believe my daughter the first time she told me there was a beaver outside her window...Now I do.

What about storing your trash in a garage or build a large, sturdy metal cage around the cans? That would have to be cheaper than trapping and relocating the animals, which probably won't truly work since other animals will just take their place.
