I went to bass pro and got $250 worth of stuff for my boat TRAILER! lol.

You know it's bad when you're dumping money into the trailer. The plan for tomorrow is to lift the boat off of the trailer with my fathers car lift. Any tips or advice would be appreciated. Attached is a pic of the boat, trailer, and lift.

Wish me luck!

Good luck! Gotta love quality time on the water.

I usually get kind of depressed when football season is over, knowing how long it will be untill the next one. But I bought a new motorcycle in October, a Kawasaki KLX250s, it is for both offroad and onroad use. I made some modifications to it over the winter, now I'm not in a hurry for football season to get here, can't wait for the weather to get nicer so I can log some serious miles. Bring on spring!

Right on! I'm the same way when football is gone, but all that means is that it's time for the boat. This boat is the best $1200 I've ever spent. I got a nice deal on this thing. We took it out almost every weekend last year, and plan to do the same this year.

why do you want to boat so far in the air if you're working on the trailer?

I would try to get the boat on some dollies and then drag the dollies on the lift ramps with the tractor.

the trees around that lake are beautiful.

I want to back the boat under the lift, strap it to the lift, and then use the lift to take the boat off of the trailer. My hopes are to be able to move the trailer around and weld on it with no boat attached.

$250.00? You just added 20% to the cost of your boat! Oh well, you've got to have a reliable, legal trailer to get to the lake.

One thing I would add if you don't already have one is a transom-saver. If you haven't seen one, it's a support that attaches to the back of the trailer and lifts the motor. It will increase the ground clearance of your motor (it looks a little sketchy in the photo) and take most of the stress off your transom.

I've spent as much in accessories as I have on the boat. However, it's a reliable boat and I cant find another that I like for a reasonable price. Most of the stuff I have will transfer to a new boat if I get one. Right now the trailer is just OK, and I need to get it perfect since I like to be on the water and not on the side of the road haha.

I've looked for transom savers and I cant find one that will fit. It doesn't have power tilt and trim and the upright position is as high as it will move. It has been without a transom saver for almost 40 years so I'm not too worried about it haha.

you have a merc i see .i had a merc 150 and about every 3 years i had to replace the impeller .real easy to do and check .you might want to check that before the season :)
