Hate to burst you bubble but if you wait a month for the fry before doing the move you will just have more fry in the tank then, once cons start to breed it never stops (unless your male goes all homicidal and kills the female like mine did) so sacrifice the fry or net as many as you can when you move the parents.
Also how big is the con? if hes more then 2-3 inch I would just sell him and the jd, then you can move the parents to the 29 keep the 5 for the fry and set a good example of proper stocking to show your grandfather's gf.

with my male con ( dunno if im gunna add the JB pair to the 29 yet ) can i have one red jewl if i take back the JD?? i want one other cichlid besides him or maybe another male con.
