I wonder if this is the case, but it was documented some mouth or gill tumor caused by parasite... which is very common in predatory fish on live food.

So then how do we kill Braga patagonica?

I am a medicater. If i am sick i take meds. So my fish do also. If it was me i would have this fish in a hospital tank or tub of some sort and give it antibiotics and parasite meds for 7-10 days and see what happens. If its a infection in that area then it will swell up. And the antibiotics will get rid of it. And if its a parasite then the parasite meds will kill it as well. I would treat with maracyn and maracyn2 as well as prazipro. All at the same time for that time period with salt and a higher than normal temp. Maybe even up to 89-90.

i doubt meds can kill this. but what the "cancers" growth if it get very big cut it i dunno lol dont listen to me i have no exp with this disease =[ i hope he pulls through.

Well, I'm back from Mexico and we caught lots of fish. Yay! As for my Bass he is still alive and eating small rosies. When I look in his mouth it's hard to see anything anymore. I'm not sure if it was a "tumor" but all I know is it's gotten a lot smaller and may possibly be gone. I don't know because I don't want to pull him out of the tank again to check. Bottom line is I think whatever it is he's doing a very good job of fighting it. Thanks for all your input and I think we got some wild wild imaginations on here, Hahaha...

EXCELLENT TO HEAR!!! Congrats!!!

That's good to hear, have you used meds, salt?!?

Great news to see he is up and doing well! Don't lose that guy, as he is a soul survivor!

Thats good that he's doing better, I had a similar experience recently when for no reason the tongue on my largest mono swelled up until it was constantly sticking out but it also shrank over the course of a few days until it was gone.
