maybe your test kit went bad

nope. i have 2 tanks and the other tank is fine. i just dont know what to do at all. im ready to just give the fish away and break down this tank.

yeah there is carbon in all 3 filters. the ONLY thing i can think of is that with my new method of using a new garden house directly to my tank then adding the dechlorinator...but i shut my filters off for awhile to let the decholorinator get into the water and settle..thats all i can think of...but i doubt that too..

You may not have enough bio media. Or perhaps the BB was damaged somehow

so 3 filters on a 90 gallon isnt enough? how does that figure out...there isnt even enough room for another filter to be added lol.

There is your problem!

Remove all carbon and run just the foam and Bio-max in your AC110's...
In your magnum 350 put the blue pad over the paper filter and run it as the mechanical/polisher filter...

Carbon can only do so much, then it will leach the poisons back into the water...when it does,
everything it took out, it will give back, so just remove it...

Add the stresscoat into the tank then add your water, or use a bucket or barrel to make your de-chlorinated water, then add it to the tank...

Stability claims to be good for establishing new Benificial Bacteria in the filters...

so just remove the carbon...how long is carbon good for...cuz the new ac110 is only like a month old

See that's the problem...It's hard to tell when it's saturated...everthing will be fine then all of the sudden WAMO! and your perameters go to hell, that would be too long. So sometime before they do that is as long as it lasts...

Depending on the load put on it, there is no time length per se...

So yeah, Just remove it...that will give you some more room for Bio-max in your AC110's

As far as your Magnum 350, you can go extreme polishing mode, by using Diatom media, and the paper micron cartridge.

alright ill remove the carbon...shall i add anything to the ac110s? or just let em be? in the meantime what do i do about the hhhiiigggghhh ammonia lol
