About a week ago, I got a massive MTS population jump in my tank. Hudreds, if not thousands of baby MTS are covering my glass, ornaments, driftwood, and plants. It happened a couple weeks after I put in some marimo moss balls. Did the adding of moss balls create this huge population jump? I've had MTS in my tank, but they've never been in this quantity before. Did adding the moss balls make this happen? the moss balls look almost overwhelmed with these snails.

I had a similar experience however my population bloom came as a result of me increasing the temperature of the tank and adding quite a few new plants.
if you get a crayfish they'll clear up the snails real quick. there sort of messy eaters so you may get a crushed shell substrate afterwards but you definitely wont have a snail problem anymore, would you be willing to ship out a couple to new york?
if you want to get rid of these MTS, you may want to put a clown loach and your tank will be clear of MTS in no time.

I think he has a blue cray but that might be a different tank. What does MTS stand for? Assume some kind of worthless snail.. lol
Also don't listen to these fools telling you to get a loach. All you need to do is put a bottle in the tank with some food as bait and leave it over night. Next morning you got tons of them in the bottle.

I would not get a loach to get rid of snails.
I used to have one (seriously) MTS and one day I saw about 500 super tiny MTS. They never really increased in numbers, and eventually that generation started shrinking and I still had about 500 but in all different sizes. Then they just started to disappear again and now I am back to only a small amount again. I wouldn't really worry about MTS too much, but if you really feel the need to get rid of them, assassin snails are the least invasive option.
