When you have a problem with an overly aggressive cichlid.. Couldn't you submerge a hamsterball in the tank and put the cichlid in it? I've trapped my firemouth under a flower pot for being an ass but that won't work with a bigger cichlid (but it did fix my aggression problem). Lol This could be just a really stupid idea.. but.. shutup..

DUDE DID IT REALLY WORK?! I HAVE A LMB WITH ISSUES AND I KEEP HAVING TO REMOVE FISH!
lol. Trapping my 2.5 inch fire mouth under a flowerpot for about 4 hours did work. I don't know if it will work in the large scale or not. You'll just have to experiment.

DAMN I WILL BECAUSE THIS IS GETTING SO OLD. IM ACTUALLY CONSIDERING BUILDING A POND JUST TO PUT IT IN

lol. I chased my firemouth till he just gave up on life then I put it under the flower pot to think about his actions. lol then He was ***** and my Jack dempsey took his rightful place as owner of the tank.

It worked because you stressed the crap out of the fish.
Stressed fish = scared fish.

I only stressed out the firemouth because I hate him. Otherwise I would've captured him differently. But it still worked.
