@oscaroo How is that LOL? That's cruel.

Agreed, anyone with common sense would check the net after using it just in case something like that did happen.

Cruel would be if he put it in the microwave. That's an accident.

When I was 12 or so I had a 5g tank with White Clouds, once I was netting out some uneaten food before I went to sleep. I put the net into a bucket and went to sleep. The next morning I noticed that one of the White Clouds was missing. Later that night I found him in the bottom of the bucket.

BUT, he was alive, enough water dripped out of the net that he lived almost 24 hours in the bottom of the bucket, and once returned to the tank, he survived.

A long time ago there was a post where someone said they accidentally launched a Blue Dempsey out a 2nd floor window with a siphon, or something

when I changed from tangynikans in my old tank I took all the rocks out and left them in the garden for the entire of autumn (which was in england, possibly the most depressing and rainy place on the planet) a 0.5" julidichromis fry survived several months in a natural pit inside the rock until I put the rock back in my tank and BAM julidichromis baby.

possibly the weirdest thing ever. it mustve survived on the tonnes of rain and moist atmosphere...

i almost did just that with a big (3-4 inch)
clown nudibrach, luckily it was too big to flow all the way through the tube and we saved it.

About 4 years ago I was cleaning out a 55 with a garden hose as a siphon. I sucked my favorite cory cat in, but didn't notice. Obviously he wasn't big enough to stop the flow. I kept looking for him for the next week hoping to see him pop out of a weird hiding place as he was known to do this. I found him the next week though when I went to start the hose again...the smell gave me a hint - he was four inches in. :(

I was just noticing the other day that my magnetic algae scrubber sends shock waves through the water. when I'm scrubbing right at the bottom of the tank if I move it along at a steady pace empty MTS shells on the bottom move as the shock wave hits them. was wondering if it could hurt the fish but they all stay far away from it.

i was transferring my fish into another tank i had (thought) i transferred all my fish and then drained the other tank but then, after 10 minutes i noticed a cory cat missing
i checked all over the tank but i couldn't find it! i found it in the drained tank, dead so i picked it up and was about to flush it when it started wriggling! so i put it into the tank full of water, i
can't belive it survived!
