I killed a fish cleaning the glass...

Nothing like that ever happened to me (yet) but I'm sure it will someday. Magfloats are always amusing. The tilapia in my avatar is strong enough to knock the magnet off and its the xl on a 55g. My 3 year old daughter can't even pull it off. And my big henlei follows me cleaning the 500g because she likes the way the water pushes her or something? She will turn to the right angle and sit against the glass so the water like pushes her head and eyes down? Idk but it's like a massage for her I think.

I am with ClownKnife, I dont get how you wouldnt notice a fish in the net when you take it out of the water.. wouldnt it wiggle around? But again, accidents do happen and lesson learned I hope.

Fish can get stuck in the seam on the net, too. I almost killed a Yoyo Loach like this. Back when my 30g had fish in it, I was doing a water change and using the net to scoop out some driftwood shavings from the Pleco, and I didnt notice one of my Yoyos get his subocular spine stuck in the net, until I noticed that I only had 2 of them in the tank. I looked around frantically and was about to give up when I thought to check the net. His skin was almost totally dry, and he felt like rubber. But he revived and was fine the next day.
