I woke up this morning hearing my dads voice excitedly saying "i got shrimps for your aro" I was delighted to hear that and also got excited to feed my 15" silver aro. I didn't waste any time and immediately went downstairs from my room to give an early breakfast to my favorite pet. As I was approaching the tank I saw live shrimp..Pleasant surprise turned to anger. I told my dad why did he directly put those live shrimps directly to the tank..He answers things indirectly so I didn't bother to argue, afterall he's my dad, but in this case I think I know better. Then things got even worse when he told me that "your arowana already ate 5 of those shrimps like a starving pig." HOLY .... Shrimp with shells and a sting like thing on its head I know aint a good thing coz it could puncture my aro's internal organs, but since it was already a done thing what could I do? So here's my question, is there always a 100% probability that arowana's that ate shrimps with head will suffer fatal injuries? or is there a way that my aro could survive this? I'm too concerned for my aro right now that it seems like I couldn't take my eyes off my tank.
