I lost almost all my fish!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I do not think that the incomplete cycle was your problem. Fish died too early for that imo.. one can rush tank changes but we have to add cycled media to the filtration and pay close atention for the next 20 days.
I think your problem relates to bad water which i find is something you us people have recurringly...

anyway, very sory for your loss.

:( Sorry for the loss
I thought I was doing a good thing by giving all my fish fenbendazole.
read up on it, checked dosages, spoke with people who did aquatic medicine...
of course only the expensive ones died....

I dunno about the bad water, if he used prime and such, that should take care of any toxic residues as well shouldn't it?
I'm rapidly becoming a fan of quarantine, elevated temp, water changes and salt for everything

With cholorox as my tank sterilization method if these fail

Well, some good news here. After doing a 30% w/c and adding crushed coral to the substrate, my jag and my jd seem to be doing very well today. :D I probably could have saved them all if I had done this in the beginning. Well crap! Live and learn. Just goes to show that no matter how long you've been doing something, you can always learn something new. Here's some new pics...

Yeah... Obviously I was a little TOO excited! :grinno:

Thanks though. I hope I can keep it that way.

Glad to hear the other fishes are doing better. :headbang2

the tank looks magnificent. Simple and straightforward, as big tanks should be. And those 2 fish have made it! Congrats!

i have never cycled a tank longer then like an hour i am too imapatient i just use bio balls in my filters and stuff take some bb from your other tanks and you should be fine

Im not sorry for you. Obviously the thought of seeing your fish in a big tank got the better of you. But how could you be so silly and add fish after 1 DAY?!!!!
