Yep, except fish shopping :D I can't stand looking for clothes, or home crap. I would rather go grocery or fish shopping. I am going to culinary school next semester and just love to cook, so grocery shopping is actually fun for me. If I am fish store hopping, and my hubby is ready to leave and I'm not, I will tell him to go sit in the car while I finish. I HATE being rushed when a fish catches my attention, though if he doesn't get me out soon, I have a tendency to start rearranging fish in my head to fit this one or that one in....

I'm the same way with my fiance, although she's learned that if she just sits out in the car, chances are I'm coming out with at least 1 new fish. If she comes in with me, she's better at guilting me into not buying them...

So I'm not the only one then!!

You sound just like me, mamapuff. Absolutely HATE shopping, unless like you said fish shopping or for me, shopping for garden stuff. Hate shopping for clothes and groceries. And yep, don't rush me in the lfs! I hate that. I've learned to let hubby bring the dog with us, gives him something to do and off of my butt!

Also had a water catastrophe recently. Set up a 10 gal tank with shrimp and snails for F8 food. It was a used tank but we had tested it and even used it previously. It was getting late and hubby and I got it all set up in less than an hour. Were congratulating each other on a job well done then heard a huge POP! "What the heck was that?!". Looked at the tank which developed a huge crack right down the front, water pouring all over the floor. We do'nt have carpet either, thank goodness, we have stone floors. But the tank was next to hubby's very expensive speaker. He was worried about the speaker, I'm worried about the shrimp! Thankfully we only lost about 5 gal of water, not 40 like you, but when its all over the floor it sure looks like a lot more!

Love your set up, mamapuff. What kind of catfish is that? Beautiful!

we had carpet in our fish room, and after a few major spills - - and some bad behavior from a stray cat we adopted - - we decided it had to go . . . we replaced it with stamped-concrete flooring, which looks just like mexican tile (but doesn't cost anywhere near as much) . . . looks good, and if water gets spilled, you just wipe it up and your done :)

no one said anything about shamwow????, i have used it many times on my carpet when my canister filter leaked and i didn't notice it. I would love to have fake wood floors but i am stuck with carpet for now.

my girlfriend use to hate looking at fish, but now she loves them, this is why i have so many tanks.

My sphynx cat loves the tanks and their food he follows me from tank to tank because he gets the occasional "treat" (Usually massivore or NLS) I have since learned to keep all the fish food in a child proof cabinet because he does the same thing your cat does and drags them into the middle of the room for a fish food orgy of fun.

Haha, we bring our shepherd with us everywhere, especially the lfs, the owners at our fave adore her :D . But its me who takes her tank to tank to look lol

We had to reseal our 150 when we got it, and at least once a month, I think I hear things and will go check the tank. If there is stray water, and I didn't witness the splash from the catfishies, then I'll be on my knees (:naughty:) looking for the source, if there even is one lol. Haven't had a cracked tank (knock on wood) yet. I hope to never have one.

The fish pictured is my deformed Red Tail Cat, Joker. He's so funny, and actually shy for and RTC. I hand feed him, and he's definitely my baby. The other kitties not pictured, are my giraffe cat, a lima ( who is constantly glued to the RTC, always hovering about an inch above his head, and an albino channel cat rescued from a tiny 2 gallon hex aquarium, and he was already 5 inches long! He's going to a friend's pond in a few weeks, just him and another albino his size. :)

Note taken! I love the idea of a full tile floor. When we buy our house, and start the remodel, then at least I have an idea to look at.

when i lived with my parents we had a cat and she jumped in my tank twice. then i was smart enough to buy a lid.

Thank god our cats haven't gotten into them. I think my fat ars cat would tire too quickly for that type of activity, though he loves to drink from the tank on our desk. Only thing is, he can mainly only drink by dipping his paw in water, then licking it. He has no teeth in the front lol. Doesn't matter there's fresh water in his bowl. After he's done, I see one little wet paw print every few feet across the floor.

I should have pulled our Shamwow out lol. I have one and didn't even think. Maybe would have saved me using all the towels in the house.

OK that is just awesome. I love your cat!!! So adorable. I learned about the cats liking the fish food. Found our foster in the middle of the pile of food spread out on the floor.
