man, you guys have luck, my lfs has nothing but people that like/keep/breed fish and know all of the stock by latin name, theres no pulling the wool over there eyes. but at least i have people to direct my questions to., they eaven knew the latin names for the plants., but they do cut me a breaak when i write down the wrong name they dont change it or if they do they write the lower price down or give me extra, especily if i get tetras, feeders or shrimp.
I guess I'm the contrarian here. If the store told you or SOLD you something that was obviously wrong you'd be upset because they misled you or ripped you off. I'm disappointed to see that so many here would do this to rip off a store they frequent. I'm also surprised to see who commented that they do this.

A great deal. I've been to shops that I'll tell them they are selling the fish as the wrong type, and I've worked at shops where I've had to deal with this. Sometimes people are right, sometimes they aren't, but ultimately the retail cost of the fish has little or nothing to do with the name attached, it is the price the store paid for it. Sometimes shops will get in items way more valuable than they paid, and recognize it, and price it accordingly. Leave the books to the accountant, and leave the correction to the manager/owner of the shop. Now I only talk to manager/owners about mismarked fish as they are the ones that care the most generally.
that was a good deal there. I once got a 2.50 RH snail at petco fo 1.00 because of a typing error!
