My vote goes to Oscar

Oscar. If you were willing to spend money on a decent FH, maybe you could get a really nice Oscar. I think you would be happier with an Oscars' personality too.

Not tryna spend too much on a FH because I don't like the koks that come with the expense ones. I'm just looking for a nice color with black markings. The ones at my LFS never have much of a kok. So I will just go there for one. They have a couple of fh that had babies. They are selling them for $1.99. The mom has no kok and the father has a little kok. So I may just get one of those babies

Males get them, females really don't. So either hope you get a female or just get an Oscar if you don't like it.

FH all the way. Oscars are drab, glutinous pigs who make huge messes in aquariums. Don't get me wrong, I've definitely kept my fair share of O's over the years. I just think a FH will give you more personality, color and attitude.

Thank you all for voting. It looks like Flowerhorn won. I am going to get one of the babies at my lfs. Thanks for your help.

Will a 1 inch baby flowerhorn be ok in my 60 gallon until my 75 gallon is ready at the end of next month?

Please don't put a flowerhorn in the 60 if you have angles in it. The flowerhorn will tear the fins up just for fun and even more so when it gets hungry. The trailers will look like yummy worms. I have a 3" FH that took on a 5" pleco when it got hungry and a few 1" fry that beat on 3" bristle nose plecos.
If the fh must go in the 60 gallon use a breeder box of some type until you get the 75gallon.
Glad you went with the fh, i have always thought they have the most personallity.
Good luck and enjoy
